Drala Mountain Center Testimonials

Testimonials

The Drala Mountain Center is a beautiful yet simple treasure chest yielding boundless gifts each time I visit:

There is delightful rest and refreshing deep breaths in letting go (for a time) of the typical everyday routines that rule at home.
There is an acceptance and release of burdens known and unrealized.
There is inspiration and soul-deep awakening as I walk the earthen paths and sit in meditation.
There is unfathomable love and support shared through conversations with others visiting and in residence.
There are enduring friendships cultivated here which have changed my life in ways I’d never dreamed.
There is poetry in the timeless, yet ever-changing landscape.
There are unfolding layers of healing and growth.
There is an affirming peace and glowing reverence in finding yourself as part of a Whole that is so often seemingly beyond comprehension.

Drala is a boon, a refuge and sanctuary, a place of enlightenment, a place of community, a boundless reservoir of beautifully Being.
I’m forever grateful to those that have created this space and made it what is today — Thank you for this priceless gift.

Until we meet again.
Beth J.

This retreat was profoundly transformative, not just a break from daily life, but a full recalibration of my inner compass. I arrived feeling fragmented, and left with a renewed sense of wholeness: lighter from the release of long-held tension, fuller with a deeper joy and groundedness that now lives in my body. The practices were powerful on their own, but it was the spaciousness of the container, the silence, the nature, the rhythm that allowed them to truly land.

The Bhakti Embodied yoga retreat was the single best gift I have ever given myself. To carve out the time for myself meant a lot to me, and it was so well-spent. I will forever cherish the yoga, chanting, meditation, self-reflection and friendship I experienced at Drala Mountain Center. The campus, and especially the stupa, were beautiful, serene and extremely awe-inspiring. Everything about the weekend was perfect!

During this time of significant grief in my life, Loden’s introductory contemplative program provided a safe and empowering space to adapt and overcome emotional challenges. The half intensive, half restorative, nature of the Coming Home retreat enables deeper meditative insight and deeper social connection in a very healthy way.
